Tennessee Youth Rodeo Association is a non profit 501 C (3), family oriented organization that welcomes cowboys and cowgirls from Kindergarten to 8th grade to compete in 8 scheduled rodeos across two states throughout the season. Our 6th-8th graders also have the option of competing in the Cinch Division of the National High School Rodeo Association. Our goal is to support and promote the sport of youth rodeo and to prepare our contestants for the next level of competition, all of the while advocating the building of character and integrity.
We believe that when you join TYRA, you become family and our family is unlike any other youth sports organization. Parents and contestants alike truly encourage, mentor, cheer for, and support each other with the goal of developing a spirit of fair competition. Tennessee Youth Rodeo Association also encourages patriotism to our great nation, as the National Anthem is played before the beginning of every rodeo alongside prayer over our contestants, horses, and rodeo stock.
Our organization and the sport of rodeo strives to instill in our youth members stewardship, responsibility, and appreciation of good sportsmanship. The hard work and sacrifices of each contestant including parents, grandparents, and friends is evident at each and every rodeo as improvements throughout the season will not go unnoticed.
At the end of the rodeo season, contestants will compete in the State Finals Rodeo held at the University of Tennessee Martin, McWherter Ag Complex. It is here that our cowboys and cowgirls will battle to secure one of the top 4 positions in each event which include:

As we enter the 2019-2020 rodeo season. We look to expand the opportunities available for businesses and individuals to be a part of our organization. Sponsorships and donations are a great way to enrich the community and/or connect your business with a market of other hardworking, community minded individuals. Sponsorships will be used toward end of the year awards following the state finals in May. We rely heavily on donors and sponsors to allow us to continue to make this sport available for so many youth in Tennessee and its surrounding states. While we have built sponsorship packages for your convenience, we will gladly accept donations of any value.
If you have never attended one of our scheduled events, we invite you to come and see what our TYRA family is so very passionate about! Your generosity will support our young cowboys and cowgirls in their commitment to compete and persevere in the great American sport of rodeo!
Feel free to contact us with questions or suggestions on how we can partner with you to create a unique sponsorship opportunity.
